Crime update

This Christmas will be spent behind bars for Stephen Sparrow after he was jailed for stealing from a store in Hartlepool. The 39-year-old prolific shop lifter from Hardwick was arrested by officers from Stockton's neighbourhood policing team for the theft of two candles, two pastries and two drinks at the shop on Catcote Road when he was identified from CCTV. He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Friday 28 November where a Judge jailed him for over six months.
